John Powell wrote:" in the NEAVE Party, Richard DURRYHOUSE (ID= 3660) appears as DWERRYHOUSE in the correspondence between NEAVE and the Colonial Office. In other letters, NEAVE writes that DWERRYHOUSE was to be replaced by Thos DOWNING, a Cooper. DWERRYHOUSE is nowhere to be found in searches in SA. I have also found a Richard DWERRYHOUSE, Butcher, living in Liverpool in 1823-24, so I am convinced he never sailed with the Party. |
