Reported by Richard Daniels nephew of deceased but not at home at the death.
1. Death Notice 1308 in Probate records of the master of the High Court 1834-1899
2. A search on Ancestry and FindMypast has not turned up anyone of this name baptised in Yorkshire for 10 years on either side of 1781
3. The only Richard Daniels for approx. the correct date is Richard Henry Daniels, the son of William and Ann, bap. Deal St George, Kent, 26.10.1814
4. Mentioned in a letter from Bathurst to Somerset dated 2 July 1822 re the payment of Greenwich Hospital pensions, when Daniels was said to be living in Grahamstown.. (Theal, Records of the Cape Colony Vol 14 for 1822, p. 450)
5. He sent in a memorial for payment of claims (CO 3942/252 1829) and for a grant of land (CO 3947/27 1830) (Cape Archives)
