- Charge sheet GSC 1/2/1/11 No 43 alledged that Edward, whilst residing on Orangevale farm (No: 254) had on 20th January,1873, wrongfully, unlawfully and maliciously set fire to a sheep shed belonging to his neighbour, George Filmer, who resided on the next door farm (No:253). His intent was to burn down and destroy the said sheep shed, and to injure George Filmer in his property, and he did then and there destroy the same.
Edward appeared in court on 7th March, 1873. Refer to the text from "The Absolute Border" by Alan Jefferies p. 39 - 42
