- Trampled to death by an elephant.
Robert Newton Dunn sent specimens back to the museum at Saffron Walden, Essex, and one of the board at the time was George Nathan Maynard.
When Saffron Walden Museum decided to get rid of some of their specimens, we believe some went to Ipswich Museum, where his son Guy Maynard later became curator
