Notes |
- It is likely she is Benjamin RORKEs daughter(HS)
A Widow.
Henry Hartley married 3 times & his 3rd wife was Mary Ann Maloney (nee Rorke). Mary Ann had 2 children with ???MALONEY & the daughter, married one of the sons of Henry Hartley & his first wife Emma Kidson called Thomas John Hartley. He was killed in the ABW. Both the names Maloney & Rorke were continued on in the Hartley Family.
The name Maloney also lives on as the name of the very strong natural spring in the Magaliesburg called Maloney's Eye. This spring was on the original Hartley farm.
