- South African War Graves http://www.southafricawargraves.org/search/details.php?id=10680 - Killed in action, in a large scale bombing raid that was mounted against Amiens railway station, but the weather was so bad that the attack was aborted. lancaster ND689 KM-O however never made it home crashing into one of the lakes. Aged 20. Son of McIntyre Wilson Ingram & Freda Ingram of Plumtree, Southern Rhodesia. He was born on May 8th 1924 and entered Plumtree School as a day scholar attached to Grey House in January 1937. He was a L/Cpl in the Cadet Corps and before leaving in December 1941, he passed his Cambridge School Certificate examination obtaining Matric exemption. He was employed in the Native Department for a short while before attesting for the RAF. On Plumtree School Roll of Honour.
