I beg leave to make an application as being a General Machinist to proceed to the Cape of Good Hope, seeing by the daily news papers it is in contemplation for a plan to be laid down to that effect, if any opportunity offers for the said destination I should thankfully embrace it and would make every arrangement my circumstances would permit towards proceeding to that place.
