Having seen an advertisement for the encouragement of emigration to His Majesty’s Possessions at the Cape of Good Hope, I hereby offer myself and nine others who are upwards of eighteen years of age of good health and strong constitution on the conditions proposed.

I am truly sorry I have to trouble your Lordship a second time, by some means I had the misfortune to loose your schedule which I was going to execute agreeable to your Lordship’s instructions, therefore if your Lordship will have the goodness to favour me with another it shall be filled up and convey’d to your Lordship without delay.

I am truly sorry to trouble your Lordship so often but I have to inform your Lordship that I have wrote to Lord ABOYNE, who well knows me, and am daily expecting a recommendation from his Lordship which I am persuaded will be satisfactory to you. I humbly hope your Lordship will pardon the omition of my not dating the schedule; I acknowledge it was a great omition.
