My Lord,
Being desirous of going to the Cape of Good Hope with my wife & one male child in his eighth year of age, I respectfully solicit one of you forthcoming printed particulars as a guide to & in furtherance of my views. I beg leave to state that I have been at Table and False Bays on the same coast & am acquainted with the nature & customs of the place. Am also used to agriculture having myself kept a small farm. I have thought proper to state so much & will readily give such further explanation as may be required upon receipt of the foregoing document in the interim.
