Sir,

            The writer hereof, a young man aged 25 years, a cabinet maker, finding it impossible to gain a honest subsistence for himself and wife owing to the badness of trade, is anxious to gain permission from His Majesty’s Government to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope with his wife hoping by that means to render himself useful to the colony and himself.
