Sir,
Being desirous to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope myself family and friends will I presume be a sufficient number to make the compliment required, should esteem it a particular favour if you will have the goodness to furnish the bearer hereof with the necessary information or forms to be complied with as will or may be necessary for my Government. I beg leave to state that I am a carpenter & joiner by trade and have been in the habit of farming an estate of 100 acres for nearly twenty years past and can produce unacceptionable character and the most respectable referance can be given.
