Sir,

            Yr Petitioner Francis MATTHEWS aged 38 years & Ellenor MATTHEWS his wife aged 27 years, a native of Scotland been brough up in the Farming Business from his youth untill these few years past that he has been in the Navy, wishes to go to the Cape of Good Hope on your conditions, and if there be occasion for any number to class together agreeable to your conditions I shall get them. I hope you will take Petitioner into your consideration so as to send me there, and by so doing you will much oblige
