My Lord,
Understanding that His Majesty’s Government do give Encouragement to persons proceeding from this country to settle at the Cape of Good Hope
I am therefore induced to apply to your Lordship humbly requesting to know what encouragement will be given to, and what conditions required of persons proceeding to settle at that colony, as I intend to settle there with several others in the event of obtaining a grant of land.
