            I have taken the liberty of addressing you with a few lines having seen in the Birmingham Chronicle an advertisement for men to emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope. I have a inclination to go wishing to no the agreement that government will make. I have a wife & six children, my age is thirty five, my wife thirty three, my eldest child sixteen years of age my second 12 my third 10 fourth 8 fifth 5 sixth 2. I am in the Blacksmith and Farming Business if you please to drop a line
