Sir,

I beg to thank you for your printed circular rec’d yesterday in ans’r to mine of the 3rd inst. I request to be informed whether the parties preparing to emigrate will be allowed to carry over with them Agricultural Implements free of charges for freight and whether any regulations will be adopted in order to insure the assistance of those labourers who may accompany a superintendant in bringing the lands into cultivation. I wish also to know on what part of the coast it is intended to land the settlers  but as you did not return any answer to that question in my former communication I suppose it is either not fixed or not at present to be divulged.

Waiting your reply I remain Sir

Your obedient servant

James COPLAND
